did y'all fall on the floor when you saw that my blog had been updated for the 3rd time this week?? and no it hasn't been hi-jacked by some more responsible-on the ball kind of blogger either..it truly is me!!! LOL!!
but look...
i found a little package in my mailbox this morning and i thought to myself...i haven't ordered anything lately (yes...this has no willpower and falls for enabling of any kind...has stepped up to the plate in the event of purchasing a home and put myself on a b..b...b...bud..budget!!! alright...gasp...more gasping... and some more falling to floor...are you done???...now get over it!!) and everything that is supposed to have come to me has arrived...so what the heck??

flipped it over and read the return sender addie...it's my girl chrissy!! what a sweetheart...a little pkg of goodies to say...hey, thinking of you!! thank you!!! totally brightened my day and made me smile!!

so off to do some desparately needed grocery shopping and laundry...have a fabulous evening ladies!!

so Ali Edwards issued an AEzine challenge to be creative every day...whether it's 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or 2 seconds...just do something, and to start with a story. think about what you want to tell and how you want to tell it...and just capture a daily something.

i wanted to do this...what a great way to capture all those little moments in life that get lost and forgotten!!! but i kept putting it off...o...i'll start it tomorrow...what's that saying?? don't put off tomorrow what can be done today??? something like that. people started posting their daily somethings around the online worls and I was admiring how these people were able to do this...where did they find the time?? they didn't...they made time. one of my girls, chrissy, started posting her daily somethings...and i was like...dude...that is awesome!!! i want to do that!!! so i sat down today and started!! chrissy documents her daily somethings on top of a daily photo...go check it out...her journalling is so heartfelt and honest...i love it. she totally inspired me to actually make the time to do this challenge...thank you chrissy!!!

doing it this way allows me to tell a story from that particular day...but also forces me to pick up my camera and take the photo that goes with the story. i have noticed lately that my camera has been sitting too long, missing the moment, and getting dusty!!! it also allows me to play some with photoshop and get some practice in on my digi skills. so here...my daily something!!!

so i fulfilled my tag from the last post...but it was such a cool tag that i actually made 3 crads to go out to random people.

okay so that was the good!!!

the bad...we're not going to England!!! i know totally sad about that....hopefully we'll be able to get some of our money back from the plane tickets...if i can get the names on the tickets transferred to someone else...anyone interested in going to england??? all the planning...you would think i would be super bummed about this wouldn't you??

but i'm not!!! why?? am i crazy?? have i completely lost it??? well maybe...but that a topic for another day!!! in the meantime...the better...WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!! i know...so now you can see why i am not super super sad about not going to england!!! england can wait til next year this house couldn't!!!

we have been trying to buy a house for years and have come across one obstacle after another!!! jay getting sick, prices sky-rocketing, and life...it happens!! so it's been a tough and long road!! i came across this house on the MLS listing site and thought why not...don't know what it was about that grabbed me because you can barely see the house and the inside pictures weren't that great...and there are some funky colours painted on the inside...LOL!!! but we set up a viewing and were completely blown away by the house and the yard!!! it's a dream for me...the house was built in 1912 and the yard is huge!!! there is a wrap around deck and a covered sun porch...it has some charm left from the era it was built in, such as, attic styled bedrooms and dormer windows...but all the little things like mouldings and what not have been lost!! so jay and i are going to bring the house back to it's former glory!!!

yes i will post pictures...i just don't have any yet!! we take posession september 28th!!! so that is the reason we are not going to england!!! here is the only pic i have and i stole it from the MLS site...heehee!!!

so i had to share my good news with y'all!! if i am lacking in the blog updating department even more so than usual....it will be because i am packing and getting things squared away...the house is in the small town of innisfail, which is about 15 minutes south of red deer!!! so school changes for kids....o yeah...that's coming up real quick isn't it?? i will also be getting all that ready for the kids too!!! so please forgive me...but i probably won't be around much in the next month and a half!! i will try to keep you updated as best i can!!

Alright, there have been a few things going on around here...I have my kidlets home again!! We went to pick them up this weekend and spent 4 days on the shuswap hanging out, boating and camping!! Good times!!!

And lastly...Don't forget about OLW...the new word is up...SEEK...and this one is special to me!!! I changed my mind at the last minute on what my project was going to be and I actually ended up posting my LO a little late...but I got it up!! I just found out my sister has been diagnosed with Lupis...and is being tested, as well, for MS and other nerve disorders...and I all I can say to that is...that sucks!! It's bad enough to have one uncurable disease...but posibly two??? Yeah...totally not fair!!! My sister has had a tough walk to...she has had some major bumps in her road and it's made her a hard person...we have never been super close or even gotten along all that well...but we have always been there for each other when it matters...I just can't believe she has to walk an even tougher road for rest of her life!! So this week's word is a dedication from me to my sister!!! I'n not crazy about the design of the page...seems I have been in a scrapping slump lately...but this page isn't about the design...it's about the journaling.

I pee'd my pants on the plane ride to Denver??? Nope....and Tannis' hand is still perfectly intact!!! No bone crushing for this scaredy cat!!! Be proud!!! I was extremely nervous about the plane ride...I had snippets of Alnnis Morrisette's song, Ironic going through my head....and flashes of scenes from the show, Lost....but I got to Denver safe and sound!!! I had a little anxiety...got a little dizzy....felt pressure in my chest....and ended up with a killer headache by the time I got to Denver....but the important thing is....I got there!!!

We arrived at the Calgary airport...went through security...don't bring scrap supplies as a carry on!!!! I didn't have major problems....but they kept seeing some ghost bottle of liquid and so my scrap carry on got searched evey single time I went through security...Hey, at least I wasn't getting the white glove treatment...LOL!!

Now my cousin....flight conniseur that she is, calmly pulled out her book, put her ipod in her ears and read the whole ride....I tried reading for about 5 seconds and ended up feeling sick....not a good thing!!! The flight back was good....I was sitting next to a guy from Oklahoma and he was chatty and kept me pretty distracted....so I didn't get as anxious and panicked as the trip to Denver....but I got to tell you....I don't like descent....that just does all kinds of things to my stomach....NOT GOOD!!! It's the reason I don't ride rides at amusement parks!!!

So the time in Denver??? OMGOSH!!!! So much fun....we all gelled!!!! Just clicked and there was no awkardness....it was just fun!!! We laughed our butts off the whole weekend....we talked...we scrapped...we got to know each other on a whole new level and from my way of thinking...made friends for life!!! Ronda is hostess extrodanaire!!!! We were treated to homemade pasta...yeah, like even the noodles were made from scratch!!! It was so yummy!!! Her very sweet Husband was around all weekend to make coffee, make food, and escort us....he was cool....any guy who can accomadate 9 women in his house...and still have his sanity at the end of it deserves a huge standing ovation!!! You are still sane....right, Andy???

So yeah..we had fun...I met some of the most beautiful people in the world....I got to scrap with the some of the most talented scrappers...and we all got an Amber class!!! O yeah...that girl let us get in her head and put our creativity to the test when she gave us all a little mini class on how to create a LO just like hers!!!! So I scrapped a picture of Ronda and she scrapped a picture of me....I left it for Ronda....But it was fun... I did a 6x12 on a Hambly transparency for the background!!!

Miss Chrissy...this girl is super sweet!!! And totally cute...check her out in the old school gangster hat!!!
so of course we go shopping....I think Miss Karla D spent more than she was wanting,what do you think?? LOL!!! Say what??? that was how much???
Now...some girls you can take out and some girls just get all kinds of crazy and moleste the store mannequins!!
Vee....this girl is just sweet and man can she ever kick out the mini albums!!!! she put together a killer one while we were there...would have to say that the weekend scrappy award would have to go to her and Amber for most pages produced!!!
And because of this amazingly beautiful woman the whole weekend was possible!!! Ronda is as genuine and as beautiful as she comes across in her blog in real life....it was so very cool to meet her!!! She is generous of heart and is very giving!!! She listens and she absorbs and she knows exactly what will bring a smile to those she calls friend!!! I am so honoured to be able to call her friend!!!

And last Miss Amber!! Amber is so full of energy and her smile is contagious...she just makes you want to smile....but the postive light and happiness that just pours from her is stunning!!! She is every bit as cute and beautiful in real life as she comes across on her blog!!!

okay...so just a little peak into how much fun we had this weekend!!! Thie was not only a chance to meet some very talented and cool ladies....but this was an opportunity to create friendships of a lifetime!!! Now I have to go and get crack-a-lackin' on some deadlines!!! have a fabulous day...o and because it was mentioned that this was missed on my blog....here ya'll go....
